On October 17, the DiVoices choir performed songs from Dimash Qudaibergen’s repertoire in Kazakh at a fan gathering in Kraków. The performance was part of the celebrations ahead of Dimash’s first concert in Poland and the launch of his DIMENSIONS world tour.

The gathering at the ICE Kraków Congress Centre brought together more than 400 Dears from around the world. Special guests included the artist’s parents, Kanat and Svetlana Aitbayeva, and Dimash’s backing vocalist, Rasul Usmanov.
DiVoices was founded three years ago by Dimash Kudaibergen Fanclub Poland. Since then, the choir has created numerous covers of Dimash’s songs in multipart choral arrangements. These are written by Agnieszka Chłap, known to fans as Agnes, who adapts the songs for the choir, writing individual parts for the different voices.
At the Kraków gathering, DiVoices performed “Tau Ishinde” and “Makhabbat Ber Magan” in Kazakh. A particularly special moment came when Svetlana Aitbayeva and Rasul Usmanov joined the choir for “Makhabbat Ber Magan.”
Another musical gift was “Durdaraz,” which the choir members translated into Polish and performed in their own language. “Love of Tired Swans” also took on a new character through a multipart choral arrangement.
That evening, DiVoices also joined the Polish highlander ensemble Morskie Oko to perform the traditional Polish song “Hej, bystra woda.” The programme brought together the musical traditions of both countries: welcoming guests from around the world, Polish Dears shared their own culture while performing songs in the language of their favourite artist’s homeland.
Over the past three years, the members of DiVoices have turned their love for Dimash’s music into a shared musical endeavour. Through choral arrangements, performances in Kazakh and translations into Polish, they bring their own interpretations to familiar songs and share them with fellow fans.
