Dimash Qudaibergen Releases a New Music Video for the Song KIELI MEKEN

On November 27, Dimash Qudaibergen unveiled his new music video for the song Kieli Meken. The video was commissioned by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with the support of the National Company Kazakh Tourism.

The premiere took place in Almaty during a forum dedicated to the closing of Kazakhstan Tourism Year in China.

Filmed amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Kazakhstan, the video highlights the country’s most iconic and sacred locations. Mystical mountains, crystal-clear lakes, enigmatic caves, deep canyons, endless steppes, the free-spirited wind, and people with open hearts carrying forward the traditions of centuries-old history – all of this represents Kazakhstan.

Viewers are taken on a virtual journey alongside the music video’s protagonists, Dimash and Abilmansur Qudaibergen. Together, they explore the Kolsai Lakes, soar on the wings of a golden eagle above the Charyn Canyon and the Valley of Torysh, venture into the remote corners of the Akmeshit Cave and the Bozzhyra Tract, and admire stunning footage from the Azret-Sultan Museum-Reserve and national parks such as Burabay, Katon-Karagai, Altyn-Emel, and Zhungar-Alatau.

“We are deeply grateful to Dimash for his invaluable contribution to promoting our country abroad. As the first Tourism Ambassador of Kazakhstan, he never misses an opportunity to invite international audiences to discover our homeland. We are confident that Dimash’s fans worldwide will be inspired by these unique locations and will want to experience Kazakhstan for themselves,” said Kairat Sadvakasov, Chairman of the Board at Kazakh Tourism, during the forum.

Director Galym Asylov shared insights about the making of the video with DimashNews.

“The main concept of the video was to showcase Dimash’s connection with the natural beauty of Kazakhstan’s cherished locations. The initial plan involved studio shoots with CGI recreations of key tourist attractions and various animals. However, Kazakh Tourism decided to use live footage to capture the real essence of these landscapes,” the director explained.

Discussing the challenges of filming in natural settings, Galym noted the complexities of relying on sunny weather. Ultimately, about ten days of shooting were conducted outdoors and in the studio, not including travel between locations.

“Among the many sites, Bozzhyra and Aktau stood out the most. One unforgettable moment occurred when, stepping out of our vehicle at night, we saw wolves’ glowing eyes just 500 meters away…
I believe the stunning natural views were worth the adventure, a story worth sharing with future generations. I think Dimash also enjoyed working amidst nature—it offered a refreshing change from his busy schedule and travels, allowing him to connect with the beauty of our homeland,” Galym concluded.
