Classes are held once a week in an online format. However, according to teacher Sandugash Toktaubayeva, another group is planned to open soon, as the number of Spaniards interested in the Kazakh language is growing each time.

“I am very happy that there are people in Spain who would like to learn the Kazakh language and who have shown interest in our culture,” notes Sandugash Toktaubaeva. – “In classes, my students are very active and very eager to learn the Kazakh language.”

Despite differences in culture and language, Dimash’s fans in Spain seek a deeper understanding of his work.

“We don’t need language to understand Dimash – his voice allows us to cross borders and exchange feelings,” Dears shared. – “But we would like to get closer to our favourite artist and his culture. Wouldn’t it be great to tell Dimash how important he is to us, his fans, in his native language? That’s why we asked the embassy to open Kazakh language courses. This is a very wonderful and useful experience.”

The Dears say that the online Kazakh language course organised by the Embassy of Kazakhstan was a great opportunity for them:

“We don’t notice how time flies. We are happy to embark on this challenging journey and hope that in time we will be able to say: “I am from Spain and I speak the native language of Dimash Qudaibergen”.
