On November 29, a concert of Kazakhstan star Dimash Kudaibergen took place in St. Petersburg. Fans from 30 different countries flew to the “cultural capital of Russia” just to see and hear a young sensation. As always the singer did not disappoint his devoted fan base.
Here are top five highlights of the concert.
As a true patriot of his homeland, Dimash Kudaibergen, began his performance with a musical slide show of photos of beautiful places and sights of Kazakhstan. After that, the singer greeted the audience in Kazakh, Russian and English languages.
Fans of Dimash also contributed their share of creativity to the performance. While Dimash performed the song “Love of Tired Swans”, his fans sang along with him holding flashlights in their hands.
Dimash was not the only Kudaibergen who impressed the audience with his talent. Mansur Kudaibergen, the younger brother of the singer, played the kui Adai with an orchestra.
Why Dimash is so loved by fans was evident at the most difficult moment for the singer. Suddenly, a technical difficulty occurred in the midst of the concert. The Kazakh singer didn’t lose his focus, apologized to the audience and had a heart-to-heart talk with them, told a couple of stories and jokes. The simple humanity of the artist gave the fans an even greater sense of closeness to Dimash.
Dimash Kudaibergen finally conquered the hearts of his fans when he sang the song Ymytylmas kүn (Unforgettable day) together with a fan from Indonesia. The artist told the story of how an Indonesian fan got on the St. Petersburg’s stage, and at the end of the duet, thanked the fan and handed her flowers.
The hit song in the Kazakh language “Mahabbat ber managan” (Give me love) turned out to be the most popular as it was sung by almost the entire audience.
In general, the concert was a great success. Next on the schedule is New York.
On December 10, the Barclays Center arena in America’s Big Apple will host another concert of Dimash.
