“Welcome, Nauryz!” – with such a beautiful title in Latvia, for the first time among the Baltic countries, a big festive concert of Kazakh folk instrument ensembles “Akzharma” and folk dance ensembles “Zhorga” of the Murat Oskinbaev Mangistau Regional Philharmonic Society took place.
This event became possible thanks to the initiative of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Latvia and Ambassador Dauren Karipov, as well as at the request of the Latvian club of fans of Dimash Qudaibergen, which for the fifth year has been popularizing not only the creativity of the world-famous Kazakh singer, but also his homeland.
One of the best in Riga Grand Hall of the Palace of Culture “VEF” was chosen as the venue for the celebration, where several hundred guests gathered at the invitation of the Embassy.
Opening the event, Ambassador Dauren Karipov thanked everyone for their participation and noted that the event will first of all contribute to the strengthening of cultural ties between Kazakhstan and Latvia.
During the event, Kazakh artists presented a rich and very diverse program consisting of both folk melodies and works by contemporary Kazakh composers, demonstrating to the audience virtuoso playing of Kazakh folk instruments, beautiful singing and wonderful dance numbers. And the audience in turn met it with great delight and unceasing applause.
Latvian audience was surprised by the diversity and originality of Kazakh culture, special melodiousness and soulfulness of the performed works, incredible beauty of national costumes.
A special surprise of the holiday was the presentation of the book – Tourist Guide to Kazakhstan, which was presented by the Embassy to all guests. And the main feature of this publication was that in addition to English, Kazakh and Latvian were used in it.
