On June 4, fans of Dimash Qudaibergen gathered at the Hilton London Wembley for the singer’s first-ever fan meeting in London.
The cozy atmosphere was filled with the warmth of local Dears, dedicated fans traveling from abroad, and newcomers who had just experienced Dimash’s voice for the first time during Lara Fabian’s solo concert the night before.
At the fan meeting, many questions were asked, mostly focused on Dimash’s creative journey.
When asked about the continuation of the musical film for “Love’s Not Over Yet”, which premiered in March this year, Dimash said the second part has already been filmed. Now, the main task is to find the right song.
Speaking about his most ambitious composition, “The Story of One Sky”, Dimash shared:
“Why did I make this project? I wanted to remind people about Peace and a world without war. Maybe I sound like an old man… I talk about it on so many stages, but we need to make this topic more mainstream, because a world without war is what we need. That’s the most important thing right now. I’m using this chance to remind people of peace. And I just want to thank everyone who helps me bring this amazing project to life.”
A fan from Brazil asked if Dimash had plans to release a full album in English. He replied that albums aren’t very popular in the current era, so he’s not sure about a full English album. Instead, he plans to continue releasing new songs as singles.
When the Brazilian fan also shared her excitement about a possible concert in Brazil and asked if she could sing, Dimash welcomed her on an impromptu stage. Together, they performed “Unforgettable Day”.
Dimash was asked to describe the creative process behind one of his latest songs, “Fire”.
“It’s so boring,” he joked, before explaining that while the process is long and challenging, it’s actually quite interesting. He also thanked Dmytro Gordon for the excellent arrangement of the track.
The night before, Dimash had joined Lara Fabian as a special guest at her concert, where they performed “Adagio” as a duet. Reflecting on the experience at the fan meeting, he said:
“Most importantly, she truly inspires me. But above all, she’s very humble. Extremely humble. And her voice is so powerful, so emotional, and incredibly beautiful. In my opinion, she’s one of the greatest singers of all time. I think you all agree with me. I just want to say a huge thank you to her. Sharing the stage with such legendary artists like Lara is truly something unforgettable.”
One of the most touching moments came from a Dear from China, who said she had no question for Dimash – only love. “As long as you’re healthy, happy, and singing the songs you love, we’ll always be here to support you.” Dimash responded with heartfelt words in both English and Chinese, expressing his deep affection for his fans.
When asked which song means the most to him, Dimash answered:
“Ömir. Because… When I was a child, I used to write many poems, but no one saw them, no one read them, only my family. After so many years, Omir was the first time I shared my soul with the entire world. Thank you for your support. This song is about me. About my life. About our life…”
After those words, Dimash asked his brother to play the song on the piano. The musical part of the evening also included live performances of “Unforgettable Day” and “Give me love”, accompanied by Mansur.
Fans also asked about his favorite food, his favorite movies, and what he thinks about when he’s alone.
“I think about life. About work. About my family, and my relationships with friends. Nothing special… I think about my past life, and my future,” the artist replied.
Dimash was asked an interesting question about his voice: “Do you talk to your voice? Do you ask it not to fail you? Is it a special instrument, or just a part of your body, just muscles?”
The artist replied: “You just need to train every day, that’s all. But my voice isn’t just mine anymore. My voice is also your voice. My voice is a very powerful weapon. The voice is a weapon people need to remind the world about good things.”
In his native language, Dimash was asked what he thinks about the future of Kazakhstan and the Kazakh language.
“Thank you for this important question. Today we see how Kazakh youth are becoming aware of their identity and striving for knowledge. I wish you happiness and prosperity. May our descendants honor our traditions and always move forward. I believe in a bright future for Kazakhstan. To be honest, our tomorrow depends on us. We must leave old grudges behind and look to the future with hope. The future of our country is in our hands. The Kazakh language and culture will grow if each of us contributes. Not everyone speaks Kazakh fluently today, but many young Kazakhs, whether at home or abroad, are beginning to value their mother tongue, sing Kazakh songs, and take pride in their roots. This is our path.”
At the end of the evening, the audience had the chance to join a quiz. By answering questions about Dimash’s work, Dears could win exclusive “Stranger” merchandise created especially for the continuation of the concert tour.
Dimash’s solo concert in London will take place on November 12, 2025, at OVO Arena Wembley. Tickets: https://mticket.uk/en/london/dimash-qudaibergen-stranger-2373.html
