The concert opened with a performance by Chinese music expert Li Yugang, who presented a new interpretation of the famous composition “Xin Guifei Zui Jiu” (“The Drunken Concubine”). Introducing his performance, the maestro said:

“I have always believed that music can transcend borders, just like the waves of the Caspian Sea that travel across great distances and resonate with distant mountains. Today, I want to connect the dialogue between the sea and the mountains through melody. May the sincerity and love of the Silk Road spread across the valleys like the sound of waves.”

The duo revealed that their choice of the song “Shanhe Tu” (“Map of Mountains and Rivers”) was strongly influenced by their visit to the Bozzhyra valley. “Your voices are firm and full of strength. Your performance truly reflects the grandeur and vastness of Kazakhstan and Serbia.
