On April 12, 2025, Prague hosted a vibrant celebration of Nauryz — one of the most important holidays in Kazakh culture, symbolizing spring, renewal, and unity. The event was organized by the cultural association Qazaq Nomad, with the support of the Prague 4 district administration.
The celebration became a platform for international cultural exchange, bringing together participants from Kazakhstan, Qatar, the Czech Republic, Germany, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Afghanistan. Guests enjoyed traditional Kazakh cuisine, handmade crafts, national attire, and a live music program featuring both folk and contemporary Kazakh melodies.
A special highlight of the event was the participation of Czech Dears, the Czech fan community of Kazakh singer Dimash Qudaibergen. They created a photo zone featuring a banner of their beloved artist, which quickly became a popular spot for pictures. Several of Dimash’s songs were also featured during the musical program, further emphasizing the global spirit of the celebration.
Event organizer Darina Zhumagul thanked all guests for their enthusiastic participation and highlighted the importance of such gatherings in fostering international friendship. Attendees expressed hope that the Nauryz celebration in Prague would become a cherished annual tradition.
