During his trip to Bangladesh as part of a humanitarian mission, UN IOM Goodwill Ambassador Dimash Qudaibergen observed the IOM’s efforts to provide essential support for displaced people. He listened to their stories, learned about their struggles, and witnessed the heartbreaking realities faced by families forced to flee their homes…
There, in one of the camps in Cox’s Bazar, Dimash recorded a message:
“I’m here in Cox’s Bazar, home to the world’s largest refugee camp.
I’ve witnessed the incredible work of IOM and partners here to support Rohingya refugees and host communities – from providing safe shelter and essential items, including clean cooking fuel, to healthcare and mental support.
I’ve also heard heartbreaking stories from families – grandparents, fathers, mothers, and children. The oldest have been displaced multiple times. The youngest were born here in Cox’s Bazar.
My message from here is simple: solidarity, support, and solutions. Let’s not forget the Rohingya refugees.”
