On November 14, immediately after finishing his solo concert in Berlin, Dimash Qudaibergen gave an interview to TV Berlin.
Thank you for this fantastic concert. Welcome to Berlin! How does it feel to be here?
Thank you very much. I’m very excited and very happy to be here. I want to take this opportunity to say a lot of thanks to all my German fans and, of course, to all my Europe fans.
Where do you draw your inspiration from?
My inspiration comes from my fans, from their support and love. And also… many years ago, when I began my international career as a beginner, I felt I had a mission — to represent myself, my country, my culture, the culture of our nation, Kazakh traditions. That gives me both inspiration and a reason to continue my work.
How important is it for you to include your culture in your music?
It’s very important, of course, because as I said, it’s the main reason I do this work. And my whole team shares this dream as well. Cultural exchange is extremely important to us. So if someone doesn’t know much about Kazakh culture, please, you’re welcome to come to my concerts.
You give so much love, and you are also an ambassador. Tell us about this UN ambassador role.
Of course, it’s the greatest honor. I’m still a newcomer at the UN. My main mission is connected to the migration agency. I have many plans for working in this direction.
Where are you heading next?
In a couple of weeks, we’ll be performing in Egypt. It will also be our first time… in Egypt. I’ve never been there. So… we need a little rest, and then we’ll continue our journey.
The TV Berlin reporter also spoke with Dimash’s fans from Germany, Poland, Italy, and other countries. When asked what they find most exciting about their favorite artist, the Dears said that it is not only his unique voice and exceptional talent, but also the depth of his personality, which brings fans together under one sky and wins countless hearts around the world.
