On June 21, the Closing Ceremony of the 27th Shanghai International Film Festival took place in China.
People’s Artist of Kazakhstan, Dimash Qudaibergen, graced the event with a performance of one of the most iconic classical songs“Hymne à l’amour”, famously known through the voice of Édith Piaf.
Dimash performed this hymn of love in Chinese, English, and French, weaving heartfelt threads between the lines, from heart to heart, blending youthful emotion with timeless wisdom.
Coinciding with the 130th anniversary of world cinema and the 120th anniversary of Chinese cinema, Shanghai, the birthplace of Chinese film, welcomed more than 100 filmmakers from around the globe to the banks of the Huangpu River.
Around 50 cinemas across Shanghai and its surrounding region showcased 400 films from 71 countries. Films competed for the prestigious Golden Goblet Award in five categories: Main Competition, Asian New Talent, Documentary, Animation, and Short Film.
