In February, Dears of Hungary organized a charity event to help children with cancer undergoing treatment at Szent Laszlo Hospital in Budapest.
The fundraiser was launched on World Cancer Day (February 4) and ended on World Day of the Sick (February 11).
The goal of the Dimash Dears Hungary fan club was to raise money for the Demeter Charitable Foundation. It runs the Demeter House organization at St. Laszlo Hospital in Budapest.
Demeter House was created so that parents could always be with their children, who need to remain under constant medical supervision in a sterile environment after surgery.
Demeter House has special classes and rooms for families to live in during a child’s recovery.
These family rooms provide moral support for young patients on their way to recovery. Anyone can take custody of such rooms.
Thus, Dears from the Hungarian Dimash fan club donated 400,000 Hungarian forints (~1140 USD, or ~515,000 tenge) to the Demeter charity fund, which will allow them to take custody of one of the rooms at Demeter House for 3 months, covering all necessary expenses.
“We are grateful that Dimash and his music united Hungarian fans into one friendly family, and we were able to help the kids fighting cancer and the families of these brave and strong children together,” Dimash Dears Hungary members shared.
