On December 11, on the eve of Dimash’s solo concert, Riga hosted the traditional international meeting of Dears.

The evening, filled with music, inspiration, and a shared immersion into the cultures of Kazakhstan and Latvia, brought together many fans of the artist from around the world.
The introduction to the traditions of the host country began with the sound of the national Latvian instrument — the kokle. A day earlier, when greeting Dimash at the airport, members of the Latvian fan club presented him with the same instrument. This time, the kokle in the hands of master Dzintars Lipors transported listeners into the atmosphere of Latvia.
Guests then had the opportunity to enjoy a performance by the well-known ensemble Dzeguzīte, which began its artistic journey back in 1953 and has carried Latvian culture across the world for decades. The ensemble performed works by the legendary composer Raimonds Pauls — “Dāvāja Māriņa” and “Circenīša Ziemassvētki.” The beloved song “Grandma Beside Grandpa” closed their set, bringing listeners back to the warm memories of childhood.

Kazakhstan’s iconic musical symbol, the dombra, also had its moment: it “sang” in the hands of Andrea, a Dear from Chile.

Kazakh performers continued the cultural showcase with songs and dances that revealed the unique beauty and heartfelt spirit of their homeland’s music.

Reflecting the multicultural nature of Dimash’s fandom, representatives of the Latvian-Chinese Society also took the stage at the pre-party.

Young stars of the Riga Symphony festival presented songs in various languages:
— Valeria Kuchma performed “Любовь настала” and “Crazy”;
— Rafaella Maria Castellucci presented the Italian song “E la mia vita”;
— Marta Grave from Latvia sang “Something’s Got a Hold on Me.”
Kyrgyz artist Ilyas Kutmanov performed the iconic piece from Dimash’s repertoire “S.O.S d’un terrien en détresse.”
Kazakh singer Zhanerke Abdrakhmanova — winner of Baqytty Bala 2022 and Riga Symphony 2024 — delighted the audience with “YUnforgettable Day” and “Qorkyt Qobyz”.

The evening was made even more memorable by the presence of special guests – members of Dimash’s team and his parents, Kanat and Svetlana Aitbayev, who were welcomed according to Kazakh tradition with shashu.

Kanat aga warmly thanked the residents of Riga and the visiting fans for their heartfelt welcome and many years of support.

Today, December 12, Dimash and his team look forward to seeing everyone at the “Stranger” show at Xiaomi Arena.
