On October 5, for the first time in the history of the legendary Madison Square Garden, thousands of people sang in Kazakh. And they weren’t professional choirs – it was the audience at the solo concert of Kazakhstan’s People’s Artist, Dimash Qudaibergen.
The evening opened with the National Anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan, joined by all fellow countrymen in attendance. Throughout the show, the sound of Dimash’s native language filled the arena, with fans enthusiastically supporting him on every Kazakh song.
To help the audience sing along, the large screens behind the stage displayed lyrics in Latin script for many songs. However, it soon became clear that most fans didn’t need any prompts — they confidently sang along to “Pai-pai, shirkin, umytylmas kun” and “Mahabbat ber magan, tagdyr.”
Fans, lovingly known as Dears, have long memorized these lines from “Umytylmas Kün” and “Mahabbat ber magan”, delighting Dimash at every concert with their heartfelt support. Still, he never ceases to be amazed and deeply moved by their dedication.
That night, for the first time at one of Dimash’s solo concerts, the audience also sang the chorus of his new song “Tau Ishinde” — “Tatti sozın, qara kozın. Bilgeisin kelgenimdi jalgiz ozin.” The sound of thousands of voices joining under the iconic Madison Square Garden roof created an unforgettable atmosphere.
Inspired by his fans, Dimash has shared a short version of the “Tau Ishinde” music video on his official YouTube channel.
Thank you, dear Dears, for your endless love and support! See you at the next concerts!
