In early November 2024, Dimash Qudaibergen, during his creative trip to Paris, France participated in several events dedicated to the music and fashion industries.
Dimash visited the exclusive music salon “Alpange,” a space that invites the world’s finest performers to fully explore the capabilities of its innovative instruments. The “Alpange” piano embodies a precise digital approach, pure sound harmony, and unique design.
Accompanying Dimash was his long-time acquaintance, Flavien Compagnon, a celebrated French pianist and composer who has collaborated with Walter Afanasieff, Celine Dion, Lara Fabian, and other renowned musicians.
Flavien, together with Dominique Bourse and Walter Afanasieff, co-authored the composition “Love’s Not Over Yet,” created especially for Dimash. During their meeting at the music salon, Dimash and Flavien seized the opportunity to perform and sing a fragment of this highly anticipated release.
In the “Alpange” salon, Dimash also performed the iconic song “SOS d’un Terrien en Détresse” accompanied by the pianist Van Toan Lam, a French musician widely recognized for his piano covers.
Van shared his impressions of working with Dimash with the DimashNews editorial team:
“Collaborating with Dimash was an unforgettable creative experience. As a pianist, I’ve had the honor of working with many artists, but this encounter will forever hold a special place in my memory. It was such a great moment filled with fun and immense energy.”
While in Paris, Dimash and his team explored the city’s iconic landmarks, strolled through its famed streets, visited the “Parc des Princes” stadium, the home arena of Paris Saint-Germain, and met with representatives from YouTube’s regional office.
Another focus of Dimash’s visit to Paris was preparing for and participating in photoshoots across the stunning locations of one of the world’s fashion capitals.
Though Dimash does not walk the runways of high fashion shows as a model, for an artist, every appearance—be it on stage, at events, or even at the airport—is an opportunity to showcase modern fashion trends.
Dimash’s fans are well aware of the brands he has worn, including “Lanvin,” “Alexander McQueen,” “Balmain,” “Brioni,” “Christian Louboutin,” “Givenchy,” “Hugo Boss,” “Louis Vuitton,” “Tom Ford,” “Versace,” “Prada,” “Damiani,” and others. These remarkable designs reflect different facets of the artist’s image.
Dimash has often participated in fashion-related events, performing at “Time·Awakening” 2017 Fashion Night Annual Gala, “The Belt and Road International Fashion Week 2019”, and “JSTYLE 2019” in China. He also appeared in a Vogue photoshoot for a campaign by the e-commerce giant JingDong.
In Dubai, UAE, in 2022, Dimash served as a jury member for the Fashion Factor competition and received an award as an international artist at the EMIGALA Fashion Awards.
Designers worldwide have showcased their collections to Dimash’s music. For example, at the Aquafina Vietnam International Fashion Week Spring Summer 2022 in Ho Chi Minh City, a runway show began with Dimash’s “Ave Maria.” Similarly, in Argentina in 2023, designer Lola Montero presented her “Destellos” collection, inspired by Dimash’s artistry.
In Paris, Dimash was invited to the boutique of the French fashion and perfume brand “Lanvin,” the world’s oldest fashion house, founded in 1889 by Jeanne Lanvin.
The official visit was accompanied by Lanvin’s leading stylist and celebrity fashion consultant Sylvain Ruffier. Maestro Ruffier curated several stylish looks for Dimash, including a photoshoot held in a unique VIP salon.
Lanvin stylist Sylvain Ruffier shared with DimashNews:
“The historical significance of this room lies in its origins as the bathroom of the Duchess of Alba. The walls depict an art deco-style garden, and the furniture, designed by decorator Armand-Albert Rateau, reflects the beauty of the art deco era and reveals how Madame Lanvin drew inspiration from various fields, including lifestyle, architecture, and decor, in addition to haute couture.”
Another photoshoot took place on Rue Boissy d’Anglas at the restaurant “L’Envue,” where Dimash posed in a relaxed, modern look by Lanvin.
For the next session, Dimash collaborated with Maison Schiaparelli. Founded in 1927 by avant-garde Italian designer Elsa Schiaparelli, the house was revitalized in 2007 by Diego Della Valle and now offers luxurious ready-to-wear collections. Known for their eccentricity, surrealist influences, and humorous design elements, the brand provided an ideal match for Dimash’s artistic persona.
Armen Adrian, Head of VIP Services at Schiaparelli, gave Dimash an exclusive tour and selected a signature piece for a photoshoot at the “Vandome” salon on the Place Vendôme, one of Paris’s five royal squares.
“The brooch on Dimash’s jacket is an iconic Schiaparelli ornament. The ‘Dove Brooch,’ a gilded pewter piece depicting a dove carrying an olive branch, symbolizes peace, with the brand’s signature engraved on the wing. These distinctive elements reflect a timeless yet modern approach, emphasizing the artist’s identity in the world of art,” shared Music Director Nune Khurshudian.
Dimash also received a gift from Schiaparelli—a book titled “The History of Schiaparelli’s Collaboration with Artists” — symbolizing the beginning of a friendship and gratitude for his exceptional talents.
