Dimash’s “Stranger” solo concert program, which premiered in Almaty last September, began its journey around the world. Turkey, a brotherly country that has long-standing, historical ties of friendship with Kazakhstan, hosted the Kazakh performer’s large-scale show for the first time on May 6.

Dimash and his team arrived in Antalya a few days before the concert and were able to fully immerse themselves in the atmosphere of a wonderful city, meet and work with hospitable colleagues and tour organizers.

Dimash’s recital was held in Antalya Expo Kongre Merkezi, where it was postponed due to the announced storm warning just a couple of days before the marked date.

The audience from 44 countries of the world came to the show: people from near and far flocked to warm Antalya to meet or enjoy again the Kazakh culture presented by Dimash and his team. The concert program is constructed in such a way that the spectators could not only hear the songs performed by the performer in his native Kazakh language but also enjoy the songs in English, Spanish, Italian, Russian, French, Chinese and Japanese. The audience also got a big surprise from Dimash and a special guest, a representative of the host country, the world famous musician Burak Yeter.

Before the start of the show, while the audience was gathering, vocalists Anna Kraft from Russia, Teona Dolnikova from Georgia, Yerlan Kokeev from Kazakhstan were warming up the audience. Guys from the beatbox group “YA NA HA” warmed up the audience with interesting covers, performing, among other things, Dimash’s hit “Fly Away”. And just before the main part of the concert, a vigorous DJ SET from Burak Yeter BAND greeted the audience with loud applause.

Dimash appeared from the back of the stage to the sound of the title song “Golden”.
Before the start of the main program, the artist expressed his condolences and asked for a moment of silence for those killed in the earthquakes in Turkey.

The concert was held in a very warm atmosphere of constant interaction between the artist and the audience. From the musician’s greeting words in Kazakh, English and, to the delight of the audience, Turkish, continuing to the audience and signing autographs between songs.

That evening, the attention of demanding international audience was shown to the works in English “If I never breathe again”, “Fly Away”, “Screaming”, “Give me your love”, the title song of the tour “Stranger” accompanied by deep sounding kobyz, “Together” – a song by Abilmansur Kudaibergen and “The story of one sky” – a song by Dimash, which carries an important message of the unity of nations and peoples.

The artist’s broad vocal range and soulfulness again impressed with “Olympico,” “S.O.S.” and “El amore en ti. The nostalgic “Battle of Memory” in Chinese and “Autumn Strong” in Chinese and Japanese were reminiscent of the “I am a Singer” days. “Love of Tired Swans” in Russian united the whole hall in a common chorus, and the compositions without words “Ave Maria” and “Know”, on the contrary, took the audience into a parallel reality.

At his solo concerts in different countries, Dimash tries to include in his program works in the language of the host country. Especially for Turkish fans he performed the famous Turkish song “Gesi Baglar”. Hospitable hosts presented Dimash with a gift – a Turkish national musical instrument Baglam. Dimash expressed his deep gratitude to the Turkish land for the warm welcome and noted the commonality of the Kazakh and Turkish cultures.

The announcement of the concert included a surprise in the form of a duet of the Kazakh artist with a special guest, Turkish musician Burak Yeter.

The expectations of the fans were justified to the maximum – Dimash and Burak presented the result of their joint work, the song “Weekend”. The light, but energetic beat made me want to sing along and put it on my phone screensaver,” Dears wrote in the first comments after the track’s premiere.

The concert’s unexpected numbers did not end with the new song; another gift for the audience was Rasul Usmanov’s performance of “Medzhnun Tal” in his native Uighur language, accompanied by Dimash on the piano.

The guests of the concert were also musicians-instrumentalists Temirlan Olzhabaev and Yernat Nauryz, who performed kyuis on dombra and, together with kobyzist Olzhas Kurmanbek, a new composition “Zaman”. Abilmansur Qudaibergen delighted us with a solo on electric guitar, and Dimash himself played the traditional kyuy “Adai” on dombra.

Songs in the native language are always an important part of every Dimash concert, they cause a special awe in the soul of the artist, which is magically transmitted to all his fans, regardless of the country of residence. This was also the case on the stage of Antalya EXPO Kongre Merkezi.

Among such compositions were sounded touching “Umytylmas kun”, “Daididau” and “Makhabbat ber magan” that were firmly included into the artist’s repertoire, the folk-rock song “Durdaraz” gave free rein to energy and emotions, funny “Zhalyn” made people dance, “Be with me” found place in rap in Kazakh language and promised new meetings with the final “Let it be”.

Dear friends, Dimash and his team would like to cordially thank all the fans and is waiting for new meetings! The world tour “Stranger” just begins!
