Dimash Qudaibergen’s first solo concerts in Mexico have drawn tremendous attention not only from his devoted fans, but also from local media outlets.
Ahead of the first concert, adn Noticias invited Dimash for an interview that will be aired soon. Host Gabriel Hernández shared with his audience:
“Imagine — Kazakh singer and composer Dimash Qudaibergen is here in Mexico City!
After a long wait, the efforts of his fandom known as ‘Dears’ have finally paid off.
Dimash has proven once again the scale of his artistry, selling out the Auditorio Nacional in just minutes — and then filling the Palacio de los Deportes even faster.”
Following the first concert, Televisa Espectáculos broadcast a heartfelt report, describing the show as:
“Dimash Qudaibergen amazed the audience with a voice that defies humanity itself.
His world-renowned notes touched the hearts of tens of thousands gathered in one place.
Although his tour is called ‘Stranger’, to Mexicans he is anything but. The audience welcomed him with overwhelming love and thunderous applause.
For more than two hours, the stage became a musical sanctuary. It was not merely a concert — it was an artistic, magical, and deeply spiritual experience. Dimash, visibly moved, thanked the Mexican audience in Spanish.
With numerous costume changes, giant screens, and a dynamic dance troupe, the show took spectators on a multisensory journey that transcended language and borders. Because while the tour may be called ‘Stranger’, his music unites, humanizes, and touches souls.”
The business and economic newspaper El Economista México, which also covers cultural, political, and international topics, highlighted the broader significance of Dimash’s Mexico performances in an article titled:
“Dimash Qudaibergen in Mexico: Music as a Cultural and Diplomatic Bridge with Kazakhstan.”
“With a global fanbase, Dimash has established himself as a cultural ambassador of his country, capable of sharing the richness of Central Asian art with diverse audiences.
His unique blend of opera, contemporary pop, and traditional Kazakh music offers the Mexican public a sonic experience that reflects Kazakhstan’s identity and cultural heritage.
During a meeting with the Kazakh community in Mexico, the Embassy of Kazakhstan emphasized that ‘each of Dimash’s concerts is also a form of cultural exchange. Through his art, Mexicans can experience an essential part of Kazakhstan — its history and its spirit.’
The so-called ‘Dimash phenomenon’ serves as an example of how soft power — or cultural influence — can strengthen bilateral ties beyond the political and economic spheres.
For Kazakhstan, the artist’s Latin American tour not only introduces new audiences to its culture, but also fosters creative dialogue with Mexico — a country celebrated for its musical diversity and performing arts traditions.”
In its “Celebrities” section, Marie Claire México posed the question — and answered it themselves: “Who is Dimash Qudaibergen? The Kazakh singer conquering Mexico.”
Published on the eve of Dimash’s second concert in Mexico City, the piece reads:
“Dimash Qudaibergen is a Kazakh singer known for his extraordinary vocal range — a gift that allows him to move seamlessly between opera, pop, and traditional Kazakh music, performing songs in more than ten languages.
On October 8, he performed at the Auditorio Nacional, and today, October 10, he will take the stage at the Palacio de los Deportes for a concert lasting more than two hours.
The artist is one of the most captivating musical phenomena of the 21st century — a 31-year-old Kazakh singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from Aktobe, with an impressive classical background who chose the path of contemporary music.”
Another Mexican outlet, Es Ahora AM, published an article titled “Mexico Embraced Him with Its Soul: The Dimash Concert That Transcended Borders Through His Voice.”
The author drew special attention to a heartfelt moment — Dimash’s musical gift to the Mexican audience:
“When Dimash performed ‘Bésame Mucho’, Mexico gasped. It wasn’t just another cover — it was a tribute.
His six-octave voice elevated the song to a whole new level. Vocal coach Sesi Dover summed it up in a phrase that quickly went viral: ‘It feels like this song was written for him.”
