On April 16, the capital of the Czech Republic, Prague, hosted the baton of “ARNAU” by Dimash Qudaibergen. In an interview with DimashNews the artist shared what feelings he had about his long-awaited return with a solo concert after 2 years of pandemic.
Dimash’s “ARNAU” concert tour, which began in 2020, had to be suspended, resuming after two years of harrowing anticipation for the artist and his fans.
Having finished his show in the heart of the Czech Republic in a bright and exciting way, Dimash shared that his return with a solo concert after a long pandemonium has caused him incredible feelings, incommensurable by anything:
“Yes, during the 2 years of the pandemic I performed at various awards and festivals, but coming back with a solo concert is a completely different emotion. The atmosphere is more native, special. So of course I want to thank all the Dears for the love and support they always give me.”
When asked if the connection with the fans was lost during this time, Dimash said:
“It’s pretty hard to answer that question. Even when I was apart, of course, I felt the love and support of the Dears, but there were some worries. But as soon as I stepped on stage all my worries evaporated. These concerts showed that our bond with Dears is still strong, even though we lost two years to the pandemic.”
The head of the creative center “DimashAli” Kanat Aitbayev also shared his emotions about returning to the concert atmosphere after 2 years and told about how the preparation for the concerts took place:
“As you know, because of the coronavirus pandemic that began in 2020, we had to suspend the tour. And, of course, we are very happy to be able to continue it again. We are happy to meet the audience, the fans of Dimash, as well as our colleagues from different countries. All of us have joined together, and with great pleasure we work on one program, which has become really special for each of us. There are a lot of emotions, and all of them are extremely positive, because the concerts are the very means, which always calls for kindness and unity”.
Kanat Aitbayev also added that, despite the lockdown, Dimash’s team continued to work, remaining united and not losing touch with each other:
“From the moment the pandemic began, we have not lost touch for a second with either the technical or the creative part of our team. The guys always communicated with each other online, rehearsed a lot by video. Two weeks before the concert in Dubai, our creative team flew to Nur-Sultan, where they began to prepare for the upcoming show. We rehearsed a lot and very thoroughly, which helped us get back on track pretty quickly.”
The concert at the TipSport Arena began with an explosion of emotion from the first chords of the intro and did not let the audience go until the finale.
“The most memorable thing is, of course, getting on stage! Those cherished first minutes of meeting my Dears, when I see their bright smiles and hear their voices. And also, the very last minutes of the concert, when I see that the hall doesn’t tire of supporting me even after three hours of the concert. And I’m very grateful for that. You know, listening to three hours of music in a row is not very easy. That’s why for me it’s always a pleasure to see that at the end of the concert the energy in the hall is as strong and powerful as at the very beginning”, – told Dimash.
The program of the show is structured in such a way that one minute does not fall out of the general context of the program, bright dynamic numbers replace lyrical and semantic works.
To the question, during which composition do you experience the greatest connection with Dears, Dimash replied:
“I think during “S.O.S.” Still, it was after performing that song during ‘I am Singer’ that I was recognized all over the world and I gained such a wonderful fandom. And, of course, “Daidaidau.” I’ve really always dreamed of hearing this song sung by people from all over the world, and when I hear the Dears sing it at concerts in unison with me, I feel that very special connection between us.”
The concert was like a meeting of one big family. Dimash generously shared his energy with the audience, improvised a lot, joked, involved fans in joint singing of songs. He congratulated Dear, who came to the stage with a bouquet, on her birthday, singing a cappella “Happy Birthday to You”.
For the first time, conductor Dimash organized the audience to sing in three voices in the Kazakh language and the thousands-strong Dears choir surprised the artist and musicians with its sound.
“You are my family,” Dimash said in the finale of the show and it was absolutely true.
Dimash and the whole big international team thank the fans for their attention and support, wait for new meetings with the audience.
“Now there are a lot of creative plans. Dimash is actively working on new songs, writing his own music, hoping to present his works to his favorite listeners as soon as possible. These will be songs in different languages, some in co-authorship with foreign composers. We can say that there will be a lot of positive moments in the work, which will definitely please the fans.
Also, we are planning several new concerts. We receive various offers from different countries, which we are now considering. And when everything becomes known, we’ll immediately notify our dear listeners,” shared Kanat Aitbayev.
