Dimash announced a challenge for the birthday of Abay Kunanbayev

On August 8, Dimash Qudaibergen invited all fans of his creativity to take part in the Challenge dedicated to the birthday of the great Kazakh poet Abay Kunanbayev.

August 10 is the birthday of Kazakh poet, philosopher, musician, public figure, founder of Kazakh written literature Abay Kunanbayev.

In honor of the birthday of the great Kazakh poet Dimash launched a marathon and passed it to all fans:

“On the eve of Abai’s birthday, I am going to start a beautiful challenge. If you, like me, recite by heart or just read any of Abai’s works that your heart desires, and in the same way take a video and put it on the net, this will be the beginning of our challenge.
I would like to pass this challenge to all my Deas all over the world, that is, to all my fans as well as my colleagues. All you have to do is read any Abay poem and post this video with the hashtag #AbayChallenge. I hope for your activity, friends!”.

Dimash himself chose Abay’s poem “Gylym tappai maktanba” to start the marathon.

The Challenge in honor of Abay was first launched on June 1, 2019 by journalist Shynar Shakenova. She suggested that Kazakhstanis publish videos in social networks in which they read their favorite Abay poems, accompanying them with the hashtag #Abai175. As a result, the relay reached a huge scale, spreading all over the world.

Dimash also took part in the relay dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the great thinker.

The performer accepted the poetic banner from the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kasym-Jomart Tokayev and passed it to the Akim of Aqtobe region Ondasyn Seyilovich Urazalin, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Igor Krutoy, and, of course, to his fans.

Then Dimash read the poem that Abay dedicated to his second favorite wife Aigerim “Kaktaghan ak kumistei ken maundaili”.
