“The place where the gods were born”

The celebration took place in the most important historical location in the Mexican Republic, the ancient town of Teotiucan. The culture that took shape here over 2,400 years ago has left behind an impressive architectural heritage spanning 23 kilometers. The main buildings of the city are three great monuments: the Pyramid of the Sun, the Pyramid of the Moon and the Citadel.

At one time, Teotihuacan united thousands of people of various ethnic origins, and contributed to the achievement of cultural exchange in Mesoamerica and throughout the American continent.

Regarded as a sacred city that keeps the history of the great people who lived here in the past, Teotihuacan is known throughout the world as “the place where the gods were born.”

The participants in the flashmob were dressed in beautiful traditional costumes from each state of Mexico while a video with the Pyramid of the Sun and the Pyramid of the Moon played in the background.

The leadership of the National Institute of Anthropology and History invited representatives of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Mexico along with their families to the archaeological zone of Teotihuacan. All guests of the event were dressed in traditional Kazakh costumes and carried the flags of both countries.

The event continued at the Villa Teotihuacan Hotel, where all guests were greeted at the entrance by a full-length cardboard figure of Dimash. The celebration began with a “fire ceremony” conducted by the shamanic group “Aztec Dance Teoilhuicatl” to welcome the Kazakh people to Mexico on the sacred land of Teotihuacan. The guests of the event performed a traditional dance asking Heaven for blessings for both nations, as well as for Dimash and his fans around the world.
